I am most interested in material surfaces that are tactilely rich in some way. Understanding the materials allows me to make informed manipulations that honor the original context or function of the items.

I impose relationships between images and material that would not otherwise form a union. This material synthesis initiates an inherent game. The communication between material function in reality vs. a simulated and flat understanding of the object heeds to a fundamental act of balance.

I push the materials and imagery in hopes of conceptual advancement and an unabridged knowledge of its potential.
